By train:
From the Cologne area, the quickest way is via Frankfurt Airport to Mannheim, from there to Neustadt main station and from there to trains to Bad Duerkheim or Freinsheim (about every thirty minutes). (Due to a substantial reconstruction the railway link between Frankfurt and Mannheim is blocked until December 2024. ) Deidesheim is the 3rd train station.
Alternatively: From Mannheim, change to the RNV 7 tram line in the direction of Bad Duerkheim. From there in a southerly direction with DB Regio to Deidesheim. If very fast connections are chosen, the travel time is about 3 1/2 hours. Alternative train connections: Rhine route via Koblenz and Mainz, from there again via Mannheim to Deidesheim- Deidesheim train station is about 900 meters from our apartment.
Arrival from southern Germany possible via Karlsruhe and Mannheim. Change in Neustadt and continue with the regional train or – if Mannheim is a stopover – with the RNV Ln. 9 via Bad Duerkheim.
By car:
A 61 and A 650 to Bad Duerkheim, from there take the country road or A 61 and A 65 to the Deidesheim exit.
